Carolle Alarcon

Executive Manager, Brazilian Coalition on Climate, Forests and Agriculture

Carolle Alarcon has spent nearly 15 years at the forefront of environmental work, driven by a passion for preserving the planet’s most vital ecosystems: tropical forests. With a Master’s degree in Tropical Forestry from the Technical University of Dresden, Germany, and a Bachelor’s in Environmental Management from the University of São Paulo, she has dedicated her career to finding sustainable solutions for complex challenges. From the heart of the Amazon, where she has worked on governance, conflict resolution, community engagement and advocacy, to global platforms like UNESCO in Nepal and IUCN South America, where she supported initiatives relate to protected areas, indigenous lands and restoration, Carolle has consistently bridged local knowledge with international expertise.

Now, as Executive Manager of the Brazilian Coalition on Climate, Forests, and Agriculture—an organization that unites over 400 members across sectors—Carolle leads efforts to integrate climate action, forest conservation, and sustainable agriculture. Her leadership drives cross-sector collaboration and strategic initiatives that place the Coalition at the center of Brazil’s efforts to meet its climate goals and promote sustainable land use.
