A new key biodiversity platform for cross sectoral collaboration
For its inaugural launch, World Biodiversity Summit will help define what world leaders and the private sector in biodiversity and climate action need to do in the medium and long term to achieve sustainable development and hinder further biodiversity loss, focusing on partnerships and investment mechanisms as levers of progress. World Biodiversity Summit is a platform for responding to accelerating biodiversity loss, by using the Paris Agreement as a framework to learn from, promoting relevant solutions, innovations, and leadership networks, strengthening nature restoration and conservation. Nature-based solutions will be highlighted, from specificecosystems to global possibilities.

Corporate Programme Director, Institutional Investors Group on Climate Change (IIGCC)
Peter leads IIGCC's corporate team, supporting investor engagements with companies through initiatives including Nature Action 100, Finance Sector Deforestation Action (FSDA), Climate Action 100+ and the Net Zero Engagement Initiative. He previously worked as a senior portfolio manager and Head of Corporate Governance at Aberdeen Asset Management in Singapore, London and São Paolo. From 2015 to 2020 he was lead manager for the world's largest Latin American equities fund. managing director of Aberdeen do Brasil Gestao de Recursos and a board member of the Brazilian Investor Association (AMEC). Peter began his career at the International Finance Corporation and has continued to work extensively with emerging markets regulators and financial sector stakeholders. He holds a BA in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from Oxford University and an MA from The Johns Hopkins University's School of Advanced International Studies.
