A new key biodiversity platform for cross sectoral collaboration
For its inaugural launch, World Biodiversity Summit will help define what world leaders and the private sector in biodiversity and climate action need to do in the medium and long term to achieve sustainable development and hinder further biodiversity loss, focusing on partnerships and investment mechanisms as levers of progress. World Biodiversity Summit is a platform for responding to accelerating biodiversity loss, by using the Paris Agreement as a framework to learn from, promoting relevant solutions, innovations, and leadership networks, strengthening nature restoration and conservation. Nature-based solutions will be highlighted, from specificecosystems to global possibilities.

Tim Faveri
VP, Sustainability & Stakeholder Relations, Nutrien
Tim Faveri is Vice President, Sustainability & Stakeholder Relations at Nutrien Inc. In this capacity, Tim provides strategic leadership and oversight for Nutrien’s global sustainability strategy and Environmental, Social, Governance (ESG) performance. Tim is a seasoned business and sustainability professional with over 25 years of experience including: ESG reporting / disclosure; carbon management; stakeholder engagement; and value chain and industry partnerships development. Tim currently represents Nutrien on the Board of Directors of US Farmers & Ranchers in Action.
Tim joined Nutrien from Maple Leaf Foods, where he was VP Sustainability & Shared Value, leading the organization to become the first major food company in the world to become carbon neutral, and the first food company in Canada to set science-based targets. Tim holds a Bachelor’s degree (Biology) from Queen’s University and a Master’s of Health Science from University of Toronto.
