A new key biodiversity platform for cross sectoral collaboration
For its inaugural launch, World Biodiversity Summit will help define what world leaders and the private sector in biodiversity and climate action need to do in the medium and long term to achieve sustainable development and hinder further biodiversity loss, focusing on partnerships and investment mechanisms as levers of progress. World Biodiversity Summit is a platform for responding to accelerating biodiversity loss, by using the Paris Agreement as a framework to learn from, promoting relevant solutions, innovations, and leadership networks, strengthening nature restoration and conservation. Nature-based solutions will be highlighted, from specificecosystems to global possibilities.

Elise Croll
Director, Environmental Services, Hydro One
Elise has been the Director of Environmental Services at Hydro One for the past six years. Her team manages all environmental matters for Hydro One’s expansive electricity transmission and distribution network. This includes delivering environmental approvals for capital projects and programs, ensuring construction and operations activities are carried out in an environmentally responsible manner, and overseeing corporate initiatives such as Biodiversity and Climate Change. Prior to joining Hydro One, Elise led the environmental teams for Infrastructure Ontario, a Crown Agency managing Ontario’s provincial lands and assets, and Metrolinx, a public transit company building and operating heavy rail, light rail, and bus infrastructure. Elise is a Professional Geoscientist and spent the first 13 years of her career working in private sector Environmental consulting focused on soil and groundwater assessment and remediation.
