A new key biodiversity platform for cross sectoral collaboration
For its inaugural launch, World Biodiversity Summit will help define what world leaders and the private sector in biodiversity and climate action need to do in the medium and long term to achieve sustainable development and hinder further biodiversity loss, focusing on partnerships and investment mechanisms as levers of progress. World Biodiversity Summit is a platform for responding to accelerating biodiversity loss, by using the Paris Agreement as a framework to learn from, promoting relevant solutions, innovations, and leadership networks, strengthening nature restoration and conservation. Nature-based solutions will be highlighted, from specificecosystems to global possibilities.

Chief Sustainability & Human Rights Officer, L'Oréal Canada
Strong of an international career of more than 20 years at L'Oréal, Maya Colombani distinguishes herself through a rich and comprehensive career path. She joined the L’Oréal Group’s Professional Products Division in 2001 where she held positions in operational and international marketing before carrying out missions of brand creation at L’Oréal India. In 2010 she joined L’Oréal Brazil as Marketing and Innovation Director, and from 2016, she served as Sustainability & Human Rights Director for Brazil where she profoundly transformed L'Oréal Brazil's value chain including sustainability impact in all the decisions taken from product creation to the recycling process. Maya also implemented strong social actions with communities and autochthones, created an impactful Amazonia regeneration program and launched the living wage movement for L’Oréal Brazil. In 2022, she joined L’Oréal Canada to continue to strengthen its commitment to sustainability.
